Castelleone di Suasa

When we talk about Castelleone di Suasa we refer to an area surrounded by greenery and a town full of history. It is not so far from the Adriatic coast and the chain of Monte Catria. The town of Trecastelli was born on January 1st, 2014 from the merging of the three municipalities of Ripe, Castel Colonna and Monterado. It is located a few kilometres from the sea, in the province of Ancona, among the beautiful typical hills of the Marche region. Trecastelli has about eight thousand inhabitants and it is a new town with a great cultural and historic heritage.

Ostra sorge a 193 m. di altitudine, fra la costa adriatica e l’appenino umbro-marchigiano. Secondo la tradizione Ostra discende dall’omonima città romana che anticamente sorgeva nella valle del fiume Misa e che fu distrutta dai Visigoti ne 410 d.C

Barbara

Barbara (219 above the sea level) is located on a hilly ridge of the Marche region. It was founded by the Longobard (barbarians in the sense of foreigners), who chose this place as their settlement due to its proximity to the two rivers Misa and Nevola the flow in the valley. The town is also really close to the bigger cities of Senigallia and Jesi. Moreover, its impregnable castle and territory have been for a long time disputed by Guelphs and Ghibellines.

Arcevia

Arcevia rises on a hill called Monte Chisciano, an offshoot of the pre-appennine mountain chain along the Umbrian-side of the Marche region. Surrounded by greenery, it dominates the Misa valley.
