The splendid setting of Via Carducci, embellished by the mighty Porta Lambertina (the gate dedicated to Pope Benedict XIV, Prospero Lambertini), is a privileged venue for hosting events, events, concerts, and exhibition fairs.

However, the memory of the glories of the ancient Fiera della Maddalena remains alive today: it was in this area, in fact, that several foreign consulates were located, to protect the interests of merchants. Via Carducci was recently connected to the port and the Mameli seafront thanks to a pedestrian and cycle underpass that allows for a splendid walk from the center to the sea.
