This annual appointment for detective story readers, as well as for the general public, converts Senigallia in the "city of mystery". In August the Velvet Beach takes on a yellowy hue.
Ventimilarighesottoimari in giallo is organized in collaboration with Fondazione Rosellini per la Letteratura Popolare. For one week, Senigallia hosts some of the most interesting noir writers at national and international level. It is a unique opportunity to talk about society, politics, and cities through a literary genre that fascinates an endless number of Italian and foreign readers.
During the festival you can visit Camera Gialla (the Yellow Room), an exhibition space set up by Fondazione Rosellini per la Letteratura Popolare in Viale Bonopera. Camera Gialla is a fascinating location that hosts the complete collection of all detective books published in Italian. It is a huge collection with a real “gem” for readers: the first volume of the mythical Mondadori collection with the yellow cover that started this literary genre in Italy.
