Feel Senigallia will remind you what to do and what exciting news is in the city (and surrounding areas).
For many of us they are a lost memory: as children, we used to wait in trepidation for a ride with “moscone”, a twin-hull pleasure boat, to look back at the beach umbrellas from the open sea. Pedal boats have replaced “mosconi”- the fascinating white-and-blue pleasure boats that used to smell like wood, glue and paint. Today, bright red “mosconi” are still used by lifeguards to patrol the sea. But if you are longing for deep blue waters, just rent a pedal boat and go across the open sea, until the beach umbrellas become very very small, and dive into the blue!
Find out moreSenigallia, known as the Velvet Beach for its fine golden sand, has received the Blue Flag since 1997 with no interruption. The prestigious award is granted for the well-preserved beach, for the presence of a yachting/sailing harbour, for the efficient services and for the good quality life while respecting the environment. Thanks to its shallow sandy bottom, the Velvet Beach is the perfect place for everybody, and a safe place for children. Many beach facilities offer entertainment activities and playgrounds where children can play in total safety. A holiday on the beach in Senigallia is a great opportunity to go back to childhood and play with the sand, building castles and marble tracks to race and challenge your beach-umbrella neighbours.
Find out moreStrolling along Senigallia’s sea promenade when the day breaks, listening to the voice of the sea and admiring the colours of the new day is a fascinating, impressive experience. A unique experience, a pleasant stroll up to the very end of the dock, where you can stop and breathe the sea breeze, admiring a breathtaking view: Monte Conero (Ancona) to the south and Monte San Bartolo (Pesaro) to the north. At sunrise you will see the fishing boats coming back to port after a night’s fishing: just wait for them while listening to the fishermen’s voices and stories, or buy the catch of the day directly from the boats.
