Pedal boats have replaced “mosconi”- the fascinating white-and-blue pleasure boats that used to smell like wood, glue and paint. Today, bright red “mosconi” are still used by lifeguards to patrol the sea. But if you are longing for deep blue waters, just rent a pedal boat and go across the open sea, until the beach umbrellas become very very small, and dive into the blue!
