While climbing the first slopes of the hinterland, you will pass through the vineyards of the surrounding hills to reach Morro D’Alba, the first stop of this charming route. It’s the place of origin of the famous red wine “Lacrima di Morro D’Alba”, whose name recalls the tear (lacrima) that falls off the grapes when they are ripe.
Pass through Montecarotto and Serra dè Conti and enter Parco Naturale Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi (Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Natural Park). You will first reach Avacelli and then Arcevia, a charming village clinging to the rocks with a population of 5,000.
From here, on your trip back, you will see a series of small castles and villages, each of them being worth a visit: Caudino, Piticchio, Loretello, Nidastore, Palazzo, San Lorenzo in Campo, up to Castelleone di Suasa, from where you can make your way back towards the southern coast of Senigallia.
100 km of unforgettable nature.
