Typical red wine DOC from the Marche region known since the time of Federico Barbarossa, whose production is only allowed in the Morro d’Alba area and neighboring municipalities including Senigallia. It has a fairly full-bodied structure and a dry taste with evident but never pungent tannins.
The controlled designation of origin of the Lacrima di Morro D’Alba wine must be composed of the Lacrima grape for at least 85% with the addition of Montepulciano and / or Verdicchio to the extent of 15% maximum.
It is a typical wine of the Marche that goes well with typical Marche products: Fabriano larded salami, ciavuscolo salami, first courses with meat sauce, white meat dishes.
